Our Journey
The Range Church was pioneered in Montville in 2002 with a heart to create a Spirit-filled, Jesus-centred community where people could encounter God and experience true transformation.
As part of the International Network of Churches (INC)—formerly known as Christian Outreach Centre (COC)—we are aligned with a global movement of Pentecostal churches committed to reaching people with the love of Jesus and empowering communities to flourish.
Over the years, we’ve partnered with Global Care Australia to respond to real needs—providing food relief, community support, and practical help across the Blackall Range and beyond. Through our many local and global outreaches, we continue to serve with faith in action.

Pastors Pete & Michelle Maher
About Peter
Peter Maher is a powerful example of God’s transformative grace. Once a drug trafficker and addict, his life is now a testimony of redemption, hope, and freedom through Jesus Christ.
He is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus and helping others find freedom through a personal relationship with God—not ritualistic religion.
Peter loves the Church and carries a deep conviction for unity in the body of Christ, believing that what unites us in Jesus is far greater than what divides us.
With a heart for the Blackall Range and the Sunshine Coast, Peter is committed to seeing the Church rise in faith and action—serving others with Spirit-led compassion, service, and unity to build a flourishing community.
Peter is a husband, a father, and a senior pastor alongside his wife Michelle at The Range Church.
About Michelle
Michelle had a powerful encounter with Jesus Christ after many years of searching for truth in the new age, occult, and other spiritual communities.
She is passionate about connecting spiritually minded people to Jesus—the Way, the Truth, and the Life—and believes there is only one true, living God: the Maker of the heavens and the Earth, and Giver of all life.
Michelle is a wife, mother, and senior pastor alongside her husband Peter at The Range Church and loves serving the Range community with joy and generosity.
She is a bold and dynamic preacher, who is led by the Holy Spirit and carries a prophetic insight and anointing for healing and deliverance from demonic oppression.
Michelle deeply loves Jesus Christ, follows Him wholeheartedly, and desires that all would come to know the freedom and fullness of life found in His unfailing love.

Peter and Michelle are a powerful team marked by humility, boldness, and a deep love for Jesus and people.
Their passion is to see lives radically transformed by the saving, healing, and delivering power of God.
They believe in a church without walls, being a people who show up, love well, and live out faith in action.
Peter and Michelle are committed to walking alongside individuals in real life, meeting practical needs, and creating space for people to encounter the tangible presence of God.
Their ministry is Spirit-led, grounded in the truth of God’s whole word, and driven by a desire to see flourishing communities across the Range and beyond for the glory of God.

We all long for love, peace, and purpose. The truth is, we were created for a relationship with God, but sin separates us. No good deed can fix that. That’s why God sent Jesus - not for a ritualistic religion, but for relationship.

Jesus lived, died, and rose again to give us forgiveness, freedom and eternal life. Salvation isn’t earned - it’s a gift of grace for anyone who believes.
So, How do I begin a relationship with Jesus?
Believe Jesus is the Son of God who died and rose for you.
Turn to Him - ask for forgiveness from your sin and invite Him into your life.
Receive His Love and Grace - He’s already waiting for you!

Jesus Crucified
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary on earth.
He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried and resurrected from the dead, and ascended back into heaven. He is fully God and fully man and is alive today in His people.
Salvation in Christ Alone
We believe salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
By repenting of sin, believing, and receiving Him as Savior and Lord, we are forgiven of our sins and restored to fellowship with God as His sons and daughters.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the ongoing, sanctifying power of the indwelling Holy Spirit - who convicts, transforms and empowers believers to live holy lives and minister supernaturally.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit equips us to be effective witnesses for Christ.
Victory and Freedom
We believe Christ’s victory on the cross has given us freedom from sin, lies, sickness, and torment.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word.
The Church
We believe the Church is made up of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He established baptism and communion for His Church, which exists to advance His kingdom, undo the works of the enemy, and make disciples.
Resurrection
We believe heaven and hell are real places.
There will be a resurrection of both the lost and the saved - one to eternal separation from God and the other to everlasting life with Him.
Created
We believe humanity was created in God’s image
to know and enjoy Him, but we rejected His Lordship, bringing sin, sickness, death, and judgment into the world.
Hope
We believe in the ever-growing Kingdom of God and the Blessed Hope in Jesus' glorious return to rule and reign with His overcoming bride, the Church.
